    Oracle Guidance

I’ve used oracle cards, and tarot, since my teenage years, though only ever as a personal tool for guidance. However, there was always part of me that wanted to be able to read for other people, offer them help, but I always doubted myself. I’ve had a couple readings myself, and when I was on my honeymoon in Cornwall, during a reading a card came up that showed mediumship, and the wonderful lady, Maggie, knew of my knowledge of this, but she saw me more as a healer than a ora

    Born Of The Stars

This week I wanted to talk about my latest drawing, the inspiration behind ‘Born of the stars’ (A4 paper, graphite and acrylic). ‘Born of the stars’ 2020 Graphit and acrylic on A4 paper As regular readers and instagram followers (@oneseeingghost) will know, I became a mum for the first time last August. My beautiful daughter, Rose, is now 8 months old, and is changing every day. This drawing has come from a transition into becoming a mother, with a new understanding of what I

    Cleanse it away

We’ve probably all heard about salt baths, and seen the products available when browsing the shelves of our local health shops and super markets. Advertised almost as a spa treatment at home, that a soak in a salt bath can moisturize skin, soothe aching muscles and help flush toxins out of the body. A warm salt bath can ease stress and calm the body and mind, perfect after a long day! Himalayan salt is light pink in colour and contains over 80 minerals However, in witchcraft

    A thanks before bed

We are all told to give our thanks, but how many of us remember to give thanks to the smallest of things? It was some years ago that I first heard about gratitude, as in writing down what we are thankful for each day, as a tool for self help and spirituality. Yet, it wasn’t until late last year when I bought myself a fancy journal that I began to make it a daily thing. (Admittedly, I’ve had a wobble of late, days, or a week would go by without writing anything as life has ove

    A hint from the Universe?

So a few days ago, I sat with my pen and post it notes and decided to write a couple topics for some blogs posts so I could be prepared and start thinking about what to write about this week. I’m generally an organised person, and since becoming Mum, this has gone into organised – the extreme addition. If I’m out with my daughter (which is a lot) you can guarantee I have packed for every situation – spare clothes, extra dummy, dummy sterilizer, water, bottles, snacks, toys et

    Leaving here without going anywhere

I started mediating many years ago now, back sometime in my teenage years. I’d heard about it’s benefits, particularly health wise, and as I was struggling with depression (and the other mental health related difficulties that go along with that) I decided to try. Throughout the years, I have dipped in and out of practice. I have mostly engaged with guided meditations that I found on Youtube, such as meeting your guardian angel, though have also mediated independently. When I

A chat with healer and holistic therapist Helen Shortland

So a couple weeks ago, I went to a Spiritual Get Together (read about it here if you haven’t had chance yet) hosted by healer and holistic therapist Helen Shortland. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, it was a couple hours breather for me from doing ‘mum’ things and a chance to learn some tips on how to read oracle cards, meditate and give healing, which was a completely new experience for me. I have put these skills into practice since, giving my husband an oracle reading using a

    Rose for a Rose

Rose quartz guardian angel painting hanging in my daughters bedroom This week I’d like to share with you a little craft I made for my daughter using a beautiful rose quartz guardian angel – suitably a rose for my little Rose. Crystals are not only stunning natural formations, it is also believe that they hold an energetic frequency that brings healing qualities to our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Rose quartz is well known for being a ‘love’ stone, for bri

Spiritual Get Together – Hosted by Helen

When I was scrolling through my Facebook page, I saw that Helen Shortland (helenshortland.com) had posted a link to her monthly newsletter – which is always a welcome read! One particular part that really piqued my interest was a Spiritual Get Together, where we would be doing a guided mediation, oracle card reading practice and healing practice. That was it, I was definitely going! (Though double checked Hubby didn’t have plans so he could be on Dad duty.) I first met Helen

    The Light is Within You

I’ve found it tricky to get back into drawing – a combination of inspiration block (due to the whirlwind of life taking over) or not having enough time with being a first time mum to a nearly 6 month old baby. Throw in my enthusiasm to do a million projects (because now when time is limited I am full of ideas and decide that I have to give them all a go, such as hand embroidering a christmas stocking for my daughter, writing and illustrating a keep sake story book for her asw

A year of a new chapter.

I can not believe that it has been a whole year since I wrote a blog post. I set my intention to be more open (I’m usually an extremely private person) and write about my art, spiritual experience and other things that felt important to me. I had decided to share my life abit more, and let people meet the artist behind the work I create. Those who follow me on instagram (@oneseeingghost) will know that things have been quiet over the year in terms of creating, and even with
